What patients can expect

You will be given a clean container and instructions for providing a sample. A mid-stream sample is usually preferred. The process is quick and private.

Preparation

Unless advised otherwise, a first-morning or mid-stream sample is generally suitable. Inform the center about any medication or supplements you take, and mention if you are menstruating as it can affect some results.

Home collection availability

For home visits, staff can provide a container and instructions so the sample can be collected hygienically at your location, subject to service availability.
